CHEF–DR II 系统能有效而可靠地分离5 kb–6 Mb 跨度内的DNA 片段。系统编程简便，通过连续执行2 个电泳条件模块以提高分辨率。CHEF–DR II 系统采用了较普遍的120° PFGE 角度。

自动化

CHEF–DR II 系统是较经济的PFGE 设备，需要用户直接输入每次电泳的运行时间、电压梯度及转换间隔。

用户化

用户指导手册记录有大量不同分离跨度下的电泳条件。

应用灵活

CHEF–DR II 系统采用120° 固定角度，经优化以适合较常用的分离跨度。通过调低电压及延长电泳时间，可用于分离6 Mb 的片段。
